What it is.
Maderotherapy (also called wood therapy) is a Colombian-origin body treatment that uses specially shaped wooden tools — rolling pins, contoured paddles, cup-shaped pieces — pressed and rolled across the body. The technique is widely used for body contouring. The sensation is firm, rhythmic, and quite distinct from any oil-based massage. This is a specialty treatment, not a relaxation massage. It is designed to do specific work, and you will feel that work happening.
Who it suits.
For anyone curious about non-surgical body treatments. For the legs and abdomen that have not responded to exercise alone. For the woman who wants to feel actively worked on, not just relaxed.
What to expect.
8 min
Arrival
Setup includes laying out the wooden tools. The therapist explains what each one does and asks about target areas.
5 min
Preparation
A light oil is applied to allow the tools to glide. You may also be wrapped briefly in warm towels.
40 min
The work
The therapist uses different tools for different areas — rolling pins along the thighs and arms, contoured paddles on the abdomen, cup-shaped tools along the back. The pressure is significant. The pace is rhythmic.
5 min
The close
Light strokes to soothe the worked areas. Plenty of water afterwards is important.

Honest answers.
Will I see results in one session?
You will see and feel some immediate effects — slight redness from circulation, a sense of being worked on. Real body-contouring results take multiple sessions over weeks, alongside hydration and basic activity. We are honest about this.
Will it leave bruises?
It should not, when performed by a certified therapist. Slight redness is normal and fades within hours. Real bruising means too much pressure was used — tell the therapist immediately.
Is this safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
No to pregnancy. Breastfeeding is generally fine but mention it so the therapist can adjust pressure on the chest area.
Can I combine it with a regular massage?
Yes — book a 60 min Swedish or Aromatherapy on a different day. We do not combine them in a single session because the body needs different things from each.
